Amazing ant colonies
WebEcoist had a story about natural architectural marvels, and I discovered this video of an ant colony therein. It’s simply amazing. They pour a massive amount of cement down the hole, wait for it to harden, then excavate it. Trust me when I say this will blow your mind. These ants have even created a ventilation system that uses natural composting processes to cycle air through the colony.
